Responsibilities
- Oversee the administration of employee health, welfare, and retirement benefit programs to ensure efficient day-to-day operations.
- Coordinate benefit enrollments, qualifying life event changes, and annual enrollment activities.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employees, benefit vendors, administrators, and external partners.
- Monitor plan performance, review claims trends, and assist with reporting and recommendations.
- Maintain compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations governing employee benefits and leave programs.
- Keep benefit documentation, plan records, and compliance materials current and organized.
- Support benefit-related budgeting, reporting, audits, and continuous process improvements.
- Educate employees on available benefit options, eligibility, enrollment procedures, and available resources.
Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of experience administering employee benefits programs.
- Experience supporting self-funded health plans and 401(k) retirement plans.
- Working knowledge of benefit and employment regulations including ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, and related compliance requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with a customer-focused approach to employee support.
